My Review:

Firstly I would like to give a HUGE thanks to the lovely Scarlett Dawn for kindly providing me with a copy of Moon Mark to read and review.

Once again Dawn sweeps us away to the worlds of Joyal and Kireg with Moon Mark, a novella standalone that coincides within the Mark series.

Madeline Faire is training as a scientist when the tidal wave hits Joyal, wiping out a good portion of their population. She is then pulled from Joyal in a lottery and given to the Kireg who are in the middle of a civil war. A planet inhabited by beings with superior strength and the ability to read and control minds. Madeline is fearful but inquisitive, making her stand out from the other humans taken to Kireg.

Madeline’s wit and spunk will only get her so far, but becoming someone’s mate was never part of the plan. Like Braita, she’s innocent and naive when it comes to relationships but her curiosity in how relationships work endear her to others.

Geo, the Kireg rebellion leader, up and coming King, is a tough one to like in the beginning. He is powerful, calculated, and intimidating, yet he is gentle. He’s fighting the Dynasty for the freedom of all people on Kireg. How could you not like that?!

“I attempted to calm my hatred of him, pressing my thoughts to turn logical. To look at the Kireg’s position in life the authority he held with a firm hand. This man was a powerful individual every Kireg and Human would need on their side if we ever got out of here. He had the experience in battle and warfare. This Kireg knew how to win a war. He knew how to exact revenge without his emotions getting in the way. And the civil war would continue if we escaped this hell hole. My jaw clenched, and my eyes stung with unshed tears. The decision was eay. While I wanted to save my own life…this bastard was the person I was actually saving. A man I hated with every fiber of my being. And I was going to save him. Save Him” ~ Madeline

Dawns’ characters have depth and her storylines are complex, but in the most incredible way.

There is several layers to each installment, and certainly plenty of action.

Moon Mark is full of adventure, drama and a whole lot of hot.

My Review:

Firstly I would like to thank the lovely author for kindly providing me with a copy of “Chosen Fool” to read and review, this is one of my favourite paranormal series.
Scarlett Dawn has left me completely and utterly speechless.
In this story we are taken on the journey of learning a little more about our Spirit Elemental Prodigy.
We also learn that what we see, isn’t always the case…
Caro is such an entertaining character and she shows much growth in Chosen Fool.
I loved the way she starts standing up for herself and learning more about her spirit powers.
She goes from the unexpected Prodigy to a bad ass chick who tells it like it is, my kind of women!
Caro’s experiences had me laughing out loud, and biting my nails, but of course I was constantly worried about Caro and which people were really her friends, and which of those were for.
“Life is filled with much heartache and many pleasures. But when you try to ignore the unavoidable–true love–well, the unavoidable means you can’t, nothing stops it. Not even fear. True love is too passionate. It always comes back in the end, deeper than lifelong loves, deeper than life’s involvements, and even deeper than mates. If your love is from the soul, it’s timeless.”
And the ending….yep, you’ll all FLOVE this ending hahaha, I personally can’t wait for the next.
Scarlett Dawn is a master writer, she weaves a fine tale of plot twist. Make no doubt about it you go into these books and you will read them again.

My Review:
Firstly I would like to thank the lovely author and NetGalley for kindly providing me with a coy of “Cold Mark” to read and review.
I love all work created by Dawn, she certainly has a nack for creating imaginative worlds and characters, so it was not surprising how much I FLOVED this one.
What would you do for your life?
For your freedom?
Would you be able to kill another living thing?
This is the story of Braita’s fight for herself and her freedom
Braita is barely eighteen when her world and people ship her off to the planet Triaz after a huge devastation occur on their current world, Joyal, her future there is unknown, but there are talks of slavery. Triaz is ruled by the Mian, a race of barbaric “Aliens” that are bigger, quicker, and stronger than the humans of Joyal, where touching is most definitely permitted.
She is a feisty, spit fire, adventurous girl. We’re taken through her journey into a world completely foreign to her and read as she navigates it all.
Throughout her journey she has one stable person in her life, her one friend, Jax, but physical intimacy is outlawed so the most they’ve ever done is just look at each other, and of course train together in combat.
Then there’s the Plumas of the West and of the East. These guys are the heads of Mian society and Braita is bound to one pair through the mark she is given as a slave. These Plumas are interesting in their own rights. Each pair introducing Braita to a different section of Mian society and elevating her from her slave status. They care for her, but they also have the power to hurt her the most.
Who should she trust?
Cold Mark is a non-stop, science fiction, action adventure with incredible world building and also provides heartfelt, emotional connections to the characters created in this fantasy world.

My Review:

Thank you to Scarlett for kindly providing me with a copy to read and review!

I absolutely FLOVE her work, if you haven’t tried anything of hers yet, I suggest you guy buy them NOW!

What happens when instinct and Magic mix?

When a magical wave creates irresistible lust, Kennedy Kirk, and Isaac Stone, are trapped into a night of wild passion.

Not an issue eh?…. well for starters Kennedy is Human and a nobody in this small town after recently moving from Miami, and Isaac….well well well, where to start with this piece of hunk, he’s the mayor of this town……oh and of course he’s NOT human…..how about a shifter….well a Gargoyle, to be more precise. Yep, that’s him.

I liked the whole shifters and wizards theme going on

There are plenty of plot twists to keep you on your toes in suspense…

Too short for me, but only because I wanted more of the Woodland Creek world, Gargoyle was an amazing new read.

My Review:

 Part One: Kenna

Blood Tree is a short story that introduces the reader to an amazing new world from the crazy mind of Scarlett Dawn, and this isn’t ONE to be missed!

We meet the young and beautiful 13 year old Kenna. Part One jumps every 3 years of Kenna growing up, we see her become more Feisty, fearless, and she’s certainly full of surprises, definitely fun to watch her grow up into a strong an independent woman that she is by the end of Part One

Her relationship with her mother is, how shall I say, a strange one at the most, unfortunately after a series of events everything that Kenna knew about herself and her life with her mother has been an lie and is about to drastically change, which is an understatement.

Kenna discovers the world of the Fae, and the fact that she is one of them.

But which one:

Light or Dark

You keep reading hoping there more pages to go, only there isn’t, NOT until the next instalment.

Part Two: Juliet

Juliet, as we saw in Part One of this little series, is a fierce, protective, mother to Kenna and you can’t help but love her for that.

This story tells us of how Juliet became pregnant with Kenna and the trials & tribulations that she when through to get to where she is today, at Kenna’s Blood Tree awakening

We find out what happens when Juliet’s past catches up with her and man, oh, man, is it worth the read.

You’ll see the struggles she has had to face as being a mother… and possibly find out who Kenna’s father is.

I love that she goes through some of the events from Book One but from her mom’s point of view.

It was really neat!

It all comes down to light and dark, love and lust… Can the two ever meet and what happens when it does?

You do not want to miss Juliet’s tale!

Again this is a novella so is a quick read.

It is well written, the characters again are written well. And, as expected for this author, there are some hot sex scenes thrown in for good measure!

Part Three: Susan

We met Susan originally in Part One, where she befriends Kenna by the instruction of her mother, Juliet.

She’s a funny one is Susan, and her mouth has no filter, the only thing that seems missing in her life is her elf, one she’s been pining for for year, but never has the courage to make a move on him….Randor – Julius’s right-hand-man

Randor is the devil in disguise, a dark, and sexual being that has a way with women, but there’s just one that he wants in his life….but he’s waiting for the right time to make his move…will he finally play his flute?

We also get to see Kenna & Julius and Juliet & Samuel…..PLUS, there’s always a plot twist….

Again this is a novella so is a quick read.

It is well written, the characters again are written well. And, as expected for this author, there are some hot sex scenes thrown in for good measure
