~*~ Review ~*~ Angeldust (Dark Angel #5) by Hanna Peach

The thrilling conclusion to the Dark Angel series…

Everything about Michael’s dark plan has been hidden – until now. On an island off the coast of Egypt, a fourth Seraphim city has been discovered; a city that doesn’t appear on any Seraphim map. This city is hidden, the air smells of blood and there is something very, very wrong with the inhabitants.

Back at Castle Speranza, while Alyx is off uncovering the secret of Raphael’s charm, someone will betray her in the worst possible way…

Michael now has everything he needs. Will Alyx be able to stop Michael? Or could this be the end of the world as we know it?

My Review:

What a conclusion to a fantastic series, but is this truly the end, or only the beginning?

Alyx, Israel and the rest of the Freethinker community is on the run.

They are looking for a place to lie low after the attacks on their community and the ultimate defeat of Samyara

Alyx and Israel have been on a long journey and understand that they are both a big part of bringing Michael down. They both stepped up, faced each challenge and never backed down when it counted. They are still fiercely passionate about one another and it was beautiful to see their love continuously grow.

We have Michael building a secret army on a secret island, there’s something different about this lot though and makes you realise just how long plans have been in motion. We really get to see Michael at his most evil, he will stop at nothing to make his plans happen. You would think that he would have no more tricks up his sleeve…but you would be wrong and that just adds more excitement and mystery to the story.

Alyx together with Israel and the rest of the Freethinkers are determined to stop this pointless and dangerous exercise. They are faced with constant obstacles and Michael’s magic is proving to be quite a challenge. He uses lies, deceit and threats to convince his followers that he is doing the right thing.

When the odds are stacked against you and there’s not much hope….who do you trust? And will love conquer all?

All the characters, some of the world building, it all comes to a head in the perfect way.

Fair warning though have your tissues ready. This is a war and with war there’s losses

This was by far the best book and concludes the series wonderfully however………YOU, yes you Peach, made my cry, like UGLY cried!!!! Seriously!

~*~ Review ~*~ Angelblood (Dark Angel #4) by Hanna Peach

Seven days…

Israel seems…different since he came out of his coma. His life has been saved but Alyx had to make a deal with the devil to do so. She has to hand Israel over to Lucifer unless she finds a way to defeat Samyara. But to do this Alyx will need Israel and Jordan, the two men fighting for her heart, to work together. Can they put aside their differences long enough to defeat Samyara?

Seven days until Israel is sentenced to Hell. Seven days to find Samyara. Seven days to raise an army.

This will be Alyx’s greatest battle yet.

My Review:

After Alyx made a deal with the devil you knew that in order to save Israel a fantastic yet dangerous adventure was going to happen.

Alyx is feisty, a warrior in every since of the word, and she is determined to die before she will let Israel go to Hell. But in this installment she is also confused and hurt. She loves two men and her heart is torn.

She hurts for Israel, knowing that once he finds out it will break him, and she’s angry with Jordan for not telling her when he found out that her memory was gone but she also hurts for him as well. She hurts for herself too, knowing that no matter what her choice is, omeone she loves will be be devastated and hurt.

This was a HUGE dent in their relationship.

Where do they go from here?

Who will Alyx choose?

Israel or Jordan?

Hybrid vs Rouge Seraphim?

There was so much going on in this book: suspense, plotting and nonstop action!!

There were some fairy tales spun into a section of the book and it was amusing to see them as badasses; it was a part of the book that I really enjoyed!

I did find at times my heart stopping and having read the first three books I thought that I wouldn’t be put on the edge of my seat, but boy was I wrong. It’s like you are really there with the characters in the book – sensational.
There are quite a few surprises that the readers would really enjoy and be eager to find out.

This book also sees the start of an inevitable relationship for Cleo who made a brief appearance before.

With book four many questions got answered and new questions created.

~*~ Review ~*~ Dark Angel Box Set 1-3: Angelfire, Angelstone, Angelsong (Dark Angel #1-3) by Hanna Peach

This is a box set of books 1-3 of the Dark Angel YA fantasy series: Angelfire, Angelstone, Angelsong.

A gifted mortal. His angel Guardian. A love written in the stars.

Forget everything you know about angels.

You’ll likely find Alyxandria slicing demons with her blades rather than plucking at harp strings. Whether it’s with weapons, unarmed or with the “borrowed magics” of distilled angel-blood tattoos, she trains harder than any other Seraphim warrior to prove she is nothing like her parents who abandoned her to become Rogues.

When Alyx starts displaying the signs of a strange new magic, most don’t believe her and no one has answers for her. The web of lies she uncovers will shatter her world and she’ll be forced to risk everything for Israel, a gifted mortal she barely knows.

Alyx and Israel will soon realize that their destinies are inexplicably tied – and that their choices will determine the fate of Earth itself.

It begins in Angelfire.

The series is now complete! Angelblood (Dark Angel #4) and Angeldust (Dark Angel #5) and both out now (not included in this box set).

My Reviews:

Angelfire #1

Alyxandria – AKA Alyx is a Lightwarrior, not particularly gifted but nonetheless she is an exceptional fighter. She has a troubled past, is stubborn and kicks more ass often than not. Still, its nice to see her flaws and weaknesses. Though Alyx has a very strong ‘voice’ throughout Angelfire, she can be indecisive and too trusting at times. Even within this low class system of Angels she is an outsider. Abandoned by her rogue parents she feels she must always work harder than every one else to prove her worth.

Alyx has been having visions of a man who is going around killing Darkened (demon spirits who possess human bodies) and through this link she develops a bond, later on in the book we find this is called a Guardian-Bond.

This bond is a rare thing to happen and with that comes emotions and feelings she doesn’t understand. The night she feels him in danger and flies to rescue him marks the night that everything in Alyx’s world is turned upside down. She finds out that those she has trusted all her life have lied to her, and in the biggest way possible. She learns that the teachings her Elders/Leaders have taught her have been fabricated and beneath it all is she starts to uncover an evil plot and betrayers are found in every corner.

Alyx is at the very centre of it.

The Blood Tattoos were an interesting concept that I really liked. The angels tattoo themselves with the ink of another Angel so that they can use different magics that may not be in the bloodline. The author even writes small paragraphs in between chapters to detail the use of each magic and I found it really helpful in grasping the whole Angel/magic idea.

Alyx is strong, brave and fights to do what she feels right at the time. Peach has developed her character incredibly well, here we have a delicate little warrior who is beautiful inside and out. She stands tall in the middle of chaos and runs head first towards challenges, who is loyal and passionate about every decision she makes, who inspires others around her to become better.

Israel, the guy she is Guardian-Bonded with is entwined with her destiny completely.

I enjoyed this book from cover to cover. There are plenty of lies, deception, action and of course lust. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, BAM – Peach would throw in a twist which would take us in a different direction. There were times I was saying “Don’t do it!” and the characters would, of course do it – Totally frustrating!!!!!

Angelfire was an entertaining read and I can’t wait to see what happens next because that ending left me craving more!!

Angelstone #2

Angelstone is the second instalment of the Dark Angel Series and one that I’m hooked on and I get happy-1clicking when I’m hooked on a series, so much so I’ve gone and bought the final 2 books to end this series. Although I can’t wait to finish this I’m apprehensive at the same time.

Alyx, Israel, Jordan & Mini have all escaped with their lives but not to safety, not yet – for their battle is only at the beginning.

Alyx is struggling with her feelings for Israel and even though she ended it at the end of book one, she finds it hard to shut her emotions down. Whilst Israel’s heart and attention seems to be solely on Adere – thus leaving Alyx to believe Israel can never truly be hers  – tangling her thoughts and emotions.

Jordan further complicates matters when he reveals he wants Alyx for himself.

Who will Alyx choose?

The mortal vs The Rogue Seraphim

Dealing with robberies around the world, black stone seems to be the only thing missing from those places, this of course is lethal to the seraphim as it slows down the healing process they have. On top of that, Samyara is planning something huge with his army and he wants the Blood Prophecy to take place soon, it would seem he will stop at nothing to get what he wants and by no means will try any trick in the trade at getting it.

This was a great sequel, the action and plot really got into the swing of things and kept my interest all the way through. I really liked Alyx & Israel’s progression as characters both as a pair and alone. Alyx, whilst still kick ass, showed a softer more vulnerable side as her emotions came to the forefront, she is finally realising and coming to terms with the depth of her feelings she has for Israel, she even took on a maternal role towards little Mini…..maybe they will be little pitter patter of feet in future books 😉

I really, really, really look forward to the third book with anticipation

Angelsong #3

Angelsong picks up exactly where Angelstone left off, Israel is very close to death due to the demon poisoned blade he took to the back for his old friend Adere-as an act of love this would free her of the darkened who was possessing her body. Unfortunately this now leave Alyx desperate. She has to find a cure to the poison that is slowly killing Israel.

Its all becoming too much for Alyx and while she is distracted by her fear and helplessness, her memories of loving Israel are stolen. At first, it helps her to make tough & right decisions….but it also opens the door to other feelings to manifest for another person – the rogue seraphim Jordan

Jordan has always cared for Alyx, always wanted her and now Alyx is noticing him. She seems to be seeing him clearly- why the sudden change in her feelings?

Their feelings for each other are believable and Alyx gets from him the opposite of what Israel offered. Where Israel longed to be the one that protected Alyx, longed to be the strong one, the hero, Jordan understands her strength and trusts it. He doesn’t hold her back but encourages her to embrace it.

When so many things can go wrong & the life of her beloved on the line, can Alyx make it?

Can she overcome the many obstacles in her way?

Angelsong was remarkable… to put it quite simply.

It has everything I love from the paranormal world.

We travel to numerous destinations and into the dreamscape once again 🙂

The characters are great and the plot was well planned out.

A great and must read!

The stunning conclusion to Bound by Lies…

Caden and I on the run. Together. But he still won’t let me touch him and I know he is still keeping things from me. I am determined to uncover everything, at any cost. Even if it tears us apart.

Jacob is back. He’s back and he knows about her. Now, everything that binds the three of us together are twisting and tightening, pulling us all together. I can feel the inevitable coming…
I don’t know how this will end… all I know is, there will be blood.

Adult romantic suspense. +18 years.

“We’re finished,” I barely whisper out.

“You’re lying. This isn’t over. This…” he lifts one hand, brushing past my thigh as he does. The light touch

sears me and makes my muscles clench. He points his finger between us, “This is not even close to being

“FYI, you suck at apologizes.”

“Kitten, please.”

I say nothing. I just glare at the wall.

He sighs. “I know, I haven’t been the most forthcoming about who I am. When you live the kind of life I

have for so long, keeping secrets just becomes a part of you. You get so used to being someone else that

who you are feels… like a lie. Who I am doesn’t feel like enough. This isn’t an excuse for the way I am.

I’m just trying to make you understand.”

“I understand why you feel like you need to hide things from me. But it’s not enough for me anymore,

“I know. I know. I want that to change with you. I want to… try. But you need to be patient with me. I’m

asking you to be patient with me.” He reaches for my arm, still crossed over me like a shield, eyeing me

as if he’s afraid I might run away. I let him touch me but I don’t move. I’m not sure that I can.

The first hot tear escapes my eye and drops to my lap.

“Oh kitten,” he breathes as his fingers move to brush my cheek. “I know why you want to walk away.

I know all the reasons you should, even all the reasons that you don’t know yet. But I won’t let you go

without a fight. And if it’s one thing I know how to do, it’s to fight for something. I’m going to fight for

you. If you don’t say you’ll let me try – really try – to change today, that’s okay. I’ll come back tomorrow

and the day after and the day after for however many days it takes to win another chance from you.”

“I’m sure that’s called stalking.”

“It’s not stalking if you’re in my house.”

“No, you’re right. That’s called kidnapping and holding me against my will.”

“It’s called protecting you, keeping you safe. I’m not going to apologize for doing that. Ever.”

My Review:

Holy moly…..

What a sequel this book was… I mean book #1 Bound By Lies was really good, and I mean, really really good, but this one!

Nothing was what it seemed and with every new twist we fell in love with Caden even more.

It is the perfect conclusion to Caden and Kitten’s journey.

The first book left me with so many questions unanswered and I don’t want to give too much away, but all your questions will be answered….I guarantee it.!

I love that this contained more of a back story on Kitten and what she went through before meeting Caden. I loved that we got to see Caden up more about himself and and revelations that he told…..this man has been through the wars since he was 19 years old…and it’s not getting any better for him, or for Kitten either

“He is so beautiful. My broken survivor. My golden warrior. And he’s mine. All mine.”

Be warned! There is a lot of heartache in this story and tears will be shed. Keep your tissues handy.

I loved the chemistry that was between Kitten and Caden’s “butler” Wylie, although this is in a Platonic way, no way a romance way, they both humored me with their wit and forever lasting banter

I will be sad to say goodbye to these characters, BUT I’m not done with you yet Miss Hanna Peach….I am expecting marvelous things in the near future from you missy!

“In the depths of winter, you will finally learn within you lays an invincible summer”

About The Author:

Hanna began to write at the tender age of seven, starting with a daring and questionable autobiography entitled Go Suck a Lemon. Perhaps it was a little before its time.

After leaving school she agreed with everyone who said she needed to get a degree and a real job to become a proper adult. She kept writing as a hobby. After starting (and never finishing) several degrees and switching from multiple careers, she finally decided that being a real adult was overrated. In 2012, she sold everything, moved to Europe and began to write full-time.

Eternally restless, Hanna has lived in Indonesia, Australia, Germany and Scotland. She is currently residing in England.

She is addicted to coffee and chocolate and would one day like to own a dragon.
