My Review:
Well I’m trying to type up my review for November Rain, feeling all kinds of emotions and I can’t seem to string a bleeding sentence together.
I literally have tears streaming down my face and they won’t damn stop!!!!
Talk about unimaginable pain, death, torture and tragedy….seriously I have goosebumps after reading this book. I WARN you,  you will need an abundance of tissues at your disposal, you may even need to put this book down several times to get your head around things and to calm your nerves down, and most importantly, you will DEFINITELY need an ALCOHOLIC drink when you’ve finished – I know I did.
“I truly loved her for the short period of time we had together. I felt as if she was part of my destiny.
To see that destiny leave was the most unexplainable feeling. It was also the worst”
November Snow takes off from where book one,  November Rain, ended.
And what an ending that was, leaving us all hanging by a thread on the end of that chuffing cliff eh?
The fate of the bad bloods lie in the hands of the voters of the public and the up and coming elections.
Will they thrive as a community or will they have to cower and hide in the shadows, running for their lives, their futures?
In November Snow, we find out more and more secrets, and things are turning, will it be for the better or the worse?
With every new page you read, you get a taste of everything that left you with questions in the first place…and a whole boat load more…
“He told her about her soul, and she told him about her dreams and stories.
And everything began to unravel from there.”
The characters developed beautifully and even though I wished I could’ve known more about their endings I am happy I got to spend time in their world, as cruel as it sounded in the beginning.
Such a fantastic and mind-blowing book, heck a series so far (I’m hoping for more)

Bad Bloods Book Release!

Letter from the author:

Publishing is quite the journey! As some of you know, Bad Bloods was my first published book—originally released when I was only 16 in 2007—but now that I’m older, I am beyond ecstatic that Bad Bloods is getting a second chance almost a decade later. Special thanks goes out to my publisher, Clean Teen Publishing, for believing in this story, and of course, an extra thanks goes out to all the book bloggers reading and reviewing it. You all are my stars.

Bad Bloods in 35 words or less: 17-year-old Serena is the only bad blood to escape execution. Now symbolized for an election, she must prove her people are human despite hindering abilities before everyone is killed and a city is destroyed.

Series Synopsis:

Seventeen-year-old Serena isn’t human. She is a bad blood, and in the city of Vendona, bad bloods are executed. In the last moments before she faces imminent death, a prison guard aids her escape and sparks a revolt. Back on the streets determined to destroy her kind, Serena is spared by a fellow bad blood named Daniel. His past tragedies are as equally mysterious as her connection to them. Unbeknownst to the two, this connection is the key to winning an election for bad bloods’ rights to be seen as human again. But Serena is the only one who can secure Vendona’s vote.

When the two unite, their accidental relationship becomes the catalyst for a twelve-year war to continue. Exposing the twisted past of a corrupt city, Daniel, Serena, and every bad blood they know will come together to fight and win, but very few of them will survive to see the day. Bad blood or human, a city will burn, and all will be united by catastrophic secrets and irrevocable tragedy.

My Review:

Firstly I want to begin by saying a HUGE thank you to Shannon for giving me a copy of this amazing book and being so incredibly awesome!

Set in a distant future, November Rain takes place in a city called Vendona. A city that is divided between humans and Bad Bloods -I believe the bad bloods to be sort of human/hybrid as they each seem to posses a different set of powers.

We meet a young teen named Serena, and the opening few pages show Serena’s battle of trying to escape imprisonment from a camp she’s currently in. A camp where terrible things happen to young bad Bloods. Having been helped by someone within the camp Serena does what she knows best – she runs.

Running on the streets, with fear in her heart,  and for her life Serena becomes involved in another sticky situation where she is saved by a dark and handsome male – Daniel. She desperately need to get back to her family, her flock, but Daniel takes her somewhere else to recuperate and recover.

With the elections at their door, everyone is even more tense and colder than they used to be.

Is this what humans have turned like?

Can Serena and her flock figure out what is going on?

Can they trust a human to win the elections to save their bad blood civilisations?

What will happen when Serena & Daniel can’t deny their feelings for one another any longer?

Excerpt:

“I’m here to say goodbye,” I blurted out, speaking over my deafening thoughts.

He blinked, startled, and I knew I had yelled it at him, but his expression softened as he stepped closer to me. He took another step, and I couldn’t move. He even reached out and touched my hand, wrapping his fingers around the flower until it was in his grasp instead of mine. “You keep saying goodbye,” he said, “yet you keep coming back.” He tucked the white flower behind my ear.

“I know.”
