Now hold onto your clothes as we’re about to embark on a fiery mission….
Mika has discovered her special skills as a gargoyle healer , and now she’s been putting them to good use by helping the city’s gargoyles, make sure they are fit and healthy….that is of course until she gets a request from the FPD squad asking for her help in healing a Gargoyle in the central park.
Unfortunately the gargoyle in question has been linked into a spell that becomes highly destructive and unstable .
Mika has so much courage that even though she’s inexperienced compared to the FPD she is working with she manages to hold her own fort, she also has an instinctive way about her when it comes to using the quartz element, it truly makes her outstanding when it comes to helping gargoyles in need.
I loved Oliver too, he’s such a free-spirited Gargoyle who thrives in adventure and doesn’t like being tied down to one spot…..well one that doesn’t involve Mika anyway.
Can both Mika and the FPD squad find a way to break it?
Or will the whole city be destroyed in the fallout.

My Review:
Firstly I would like to give a HUGE thanks to Chastain for kindly providing me with copies of books one & two to read and review.
Mika Stillwater is an elemental who has mad skills in working with gems especially quartz. She has been slaving away where she is currently working but now has a chance to work for herself and open up her own shop if she can just finish up some vials for a client at a prestigious firm. She has half of her work complete so it should be simple for her to complete this task right?
All is going well until a hatchling gargoyle literally lands in her apartment and desperately pleads for her help in rescuing her kidnapped siblings.
Together with her friend Kylie they try to think of a plan to rescue them before they are sold to people who want them for their own selfish dark magic reasons.
But to do so would cost Mika all her life savings and her dream, maybe even her life!
She would be up against stronger forces than her magic, can she defeat them or will she be defeated.
I loved the plot. I loved everything about this book.
The writing is excellent, the pace is quick.
There’s no major info dumps or things to side track you.
A great story that mixes elemental magic with gargoyles, whipped into a cocktail of suspense.
