Title: Mine Would Be You
Series: Sweet Home Alabama
Author: Danielle Jamie
Release Date: July 20, 2015

Emelyn LaClaire was honored to be the Maid of Honor in her best friend’s wedding, but it came with a catch. She has to walk down the aisle with her ex fiancé, Lawson McCoy. He’s not just the Best Man; he’s also her best friend’s brother, and she’s loved him since she was eight years old.
Emelyn has avoided any kind of contact with Lawson since the day everything fell apart during her sophomore year at the University of Alabama. Now, after four years of avoiding him, she’s not just seeing him, she also has to walk down the aisle with him – the one man she dreamt of marrying almost all her life…

Lawson McCoy only has a single regret, and it’s throwing away the one thing that was good in his life. When his sister, Delilah, and her fiancé, Grayson, asked him to be the Best Man, it came with a stipulation. Do not in any way mess up their wedding. That’s easier said than done, especially when the one girl who would rather stick hot pokers in her eyes than look at him will be walking down the aisle beside him….

This is a second chance romance that is the perfect blend of ANGST-FILLED, EMOTIONAL & MELT YOUR KINDLE HOTTT MOMENTS!!!!
***This is a complete story! No Cliffhanger!***

I am a hot mess. I am a smoldering, frustrated mess, because just his damn eyes are setting my body on fire. I swear I can feel his eyes on me as if they’re caressing my body as they slide up and down my stumbling, blushing, hot mess self as he takes me in.
It’s been way too long since I’ve had a good and proper fuck.
Yes, I’m supposed to be a sweet southern belle, but it’s totally possible to be sweet and slightly naughty all at the same time.
I love sex…especially Lawson sex. No one has come even close to doing to my body what this man has done to me probably a million times before we broke up.
“Woah.” Wrapping his arms around me, he holds me against him, stopping me from falling flat on my face and completely embarrassing myself.
“Oh my gosh, I’m sorry.” I can only imagine how red my cheeks are right now. My hands are flush against his chest and I find myself loving the feeling of his body beneath them. I inhale deeply and breathe him in.
God, he smells amazing.
Laughing, he holds me tighter, making it clear he isn’t letting me go yet. He brings his mouth down to my ear and the feeling of his breath against my skin makes my body become blanketed in goose bumps. “No need to be sorry. I’ll gladly catch you anytime you fall.”
Ahh, hell.
My heart jumps in my damn chest as I imagine a little mini sledgehammer smashing away a tiny piece of the wall that’s been guarding my heart for the last four years.

 My Review:

Once again she’s done it, USA Today Bestselling author Jamie has managed to pull off another fan-fricking-tastic, heart-wrenching, second chance novel. One that will pull at your heartstrings, make you cry like a baby and ultimately make you fall in love with, yet another, “hubba hubba” of a hunk in the long list of BFF’s created by Jamie.
Jamie is especially good at dual POV’s, and we all know I love a good book with these bad boys, she makes you feel like you are inside the characters crazy thing called a head
“Love comes to those who still hope after disappointment,
who still believe after betrayal,
and who still love after being hurt
– Unknown”
Finding the one your meant to spend the rest of your life with doesn’t often to happen to a lot of people, some may say in fact it’s not real, a figment of their imagination…but for Emelyn & Lawson it’s as real as it gets. Both on cloud nine nothing can stop them, not now, not ever.
That is until Tragedy strikes the heart.
After the tragedy that changed their lives forever Emelyn is forced to move back home, leaving her dream college, dream job and friends behind. Both Lawson & Emelyn lose their connection, their future and their way with one another.
“I miss not having her in my life. She’s like a ray of sunshine that no matter how dark and cloudy your life may seem, she’s able to push them away and brighten everything around you with just her presence and her smile – Lawson”
Once stupid, young & dumb mistake can change the future for everyone, for better or for worse, is the decision you have to choose, Everyone deserves a second chance, right?
Can Emelyn & Lawson put the past behind them?
Can they learn to love & forgive?
I’m pretty sure Lily would have a few choice words to say to these two, possibly resulting in some head-banging together for their stubbornness.
“It isn’t the perfect ‘Fairytale love story’ I read about when I was a little girl. The ones with the perfect Prince Charming and the sweet and innocent princess. Instead, I fell in love with the Harley riding ‘bad boy’, and Lawson fell for the southern belle with a wild streak a mile wide. But if you ask me….if you ask me, I think eight-year-old me would love the way our happily ever after turned out – Emelyn”
I am a huge Jamie fan and never seized to blow me away with her books. I cried from beginning to end of this one and so shall you guys 😉
