~*~ Blog Tour ~*~ Fame (Addiction #2) By Meghan Quinn

FameCover

The moment you think everything is perfect in your life, it can all come tumbling down on top of you.

Shattered Souls hasn’t seen each other in months. Deception and ghosts from the past have torn them apart, leading them their separate ways. When they realize they need to solve their differences and get back together for the sake of the band, they can’t find their lead singer, Rook Tyler, who’s been missing for months.

Twisted Perfection is just coming off the high of yet another tour but this time, they weren’t riding the coat tails of Shattered Souls. Even though they’ve become more popular, all of the success from the last tour means nothing to Maisy as she continues to struggle daily from the loss of Rook.

Fame finds both of the bands but sometimes, it can be lonely at the top. Both bands realize if they want to succeed, they have to drop their differences and join together, but it’s never that easy. Lovers, drugs, people’s pasts and death get in the way, while they try to travel down the bumpy road toward fame.

My Review:

 Holy fucking cow shit!

Why do you have to do this to us Meghan? Huh? Whhhyyyyyy GOD-DAMMIT!

*woooosaarrrr* keep calm…..keep cool!

Phew sorry about that…..last last 15% was a major heartbreak! YET AGAIN!

Now I knew, from Meghan’s writing in the past that she does one hell of a cliffhanger….she dangles something pretty and loving in front of you, within a hands reach of you getting it, then out of nowhere she rips it to god damn pieces….not only that she calves it up and chews the fucker out…..yeah, not a pretty picture, BUT I will give her her dew, she can write one hell of a bad-ass story!

There is devastation left in the wake of Rook’s decision to push Maisy away.

Rook is a tortured soul….my god is he tortured and it broke me to see him so frail and distressed in this one….now I know, he was a complete toss-pot in Toxic and he deserves to feel somewhat ashamed of himself, but, yeah, he always manages to wrap you around his little pinky again 😉

“The one good thing in my life, the one piece of perfection I was able to hold on to for a short period of time is now going on without me, I’m a washed up has been, son to a drugged out father and a mother who sold her pussy like fucking drugs on street corners”

Now we all know how the last one finished….yeah, that broke my heart, Rook broke my heart, Landon broke my heart, and Grey god-dammit, broke my heart…..I was in bits after that ending, and I knew it wasn’t going to be pretty or get any better in this one….god-dam knew it!

You’ve got to feel sorry for poor Maisy, not only her but Willow & Quinn too. These girls have been through a rough few months with the last tour then this happened.

Maisy taking a BIG HIT to her heart….talk about ripping her heart out and squeezing it in a fricking vice until it shatters everywhere…..

“He was a beautifully ugly vision of soul and heartache, a start contrast of heart and hatred, a passionate bastard with a talent that could eat her alive.”

Can Maisy ever trust Rook again?

Willow and Cruz have a sort of arrangement no strings but he’s feeling a little something, could it be love?

Kaid faces an attraction to red headed beauty that doesn’t date musicians, can he keep his feelings in check for someone he knows he can’t have?

This part of the story is about loss, love, forgiveness, and how to live with all of that.

Life likes to play jokes on us and never lets us get too comfortable, or too happy, before shaking things up again. We tend to learn the hard way to appreciate the good things in our lives, usually after losing them. There’s a lot to be said for second chances

If you love hot rock stars, crazy chemistry, sexual tension, sex scenes that make your lady gardens come alive, and yes even heart break…then stop wasting time reading this, when you could be starting this rollercoaster of an adventure with book #1 Toxic

00Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

ToxicCoverNEW“You’re an addiction I can’t overcome, no matter how hard I try.” – Rook Tyler

His life consists of his best friend, Jack Daniels, his favorite drug of choice and women. Rook Tyler lives for performing at night and wasting the rest of his days washing away the pain from his childhood so he doesn’t have to feel anything…ever. The only people he trusts are his band mates from Shattered Souls and he wants to keep it that way. His life was completely under control and simple until he heard the voice of Maisy Madison filter through The Tavern speakers.

Growing up in the foster care system with her two other band mates from Twisted Perfection, Maisy finds herself doing pretty much anything to get her and her band noticed but nothing seems to be working. One lucky night, Shattered Souls, the most popular band in the country, decides to show up at their little concert and luckily signs them on the spot. But the arena venues and massive amount of fans isn’t what has Maisy shaking in her heels. It’s the deep baritone voice of Rook Tyler that has haunted her dreams for years which has her wondering if she can actually go through with the tour.

The force is almost too strong. He can feel her everywhere he goes and no matter how much he tries to resist her, he finds himself gravitating towards Maisy, wanting to hold her, kiss her and touch her. He knows he shouldn’t get involved. He knows no matter what, he will end up hurting her but he can’t help it, his soul is connected to hers and the pull is too strong for him to resist.

Rook warned her time and time again but she doesn’t listen, she doesn’t want to listen. She needs him and she doesn’t care that she knows deep down in her heart that their relationship is going to end in disaster. She refuses to acknowledge that no matter what they do, their love is toxic.
