Two nightmares. One memory.
“Chaos within destiny. It was the definition of our love.”
Eric has weeks before his final battle when he’s in an accident. Forced to face his human side, he knows he can’t survive if he fights alone. But he doesn’t want to surrender, even if he becomes the sacrifice for war.
Jessica’s memory isn’t the only thing she’s lost. Her desire to find her parents is gone and so is her confidence. But when fate leaves nightmares behind, she decides to find the boy she sees in them, even if it risks her sanity.
Firstly I want to thank Shannon, for kindly providing me with a copy of Seconds Before Sunrise to read and review.
Another well written book by Thompson.
This book instantly takes after Minutes Before Sunset and we follow the angst of a story between the Darks & Lights, with the impending war that is brewing.
Choosing to wipe your memories to protect those that you love, show great courage from a person, and we can’t help connecting more and falling in love more with Jess’s character for choosing to do this.
BUT everything comes with a price…
Not only did she lose her memory, she lost herself,
she lost her plight for her life, her parents and her friends.
Eric, being the ever so kind guy he is, is always out to protect Jess, even though sometimes it hurts him to stay away from his destined one.
The battle between Darthon and Shoman…What a fight it was? Thompson did an awesome job of creating scenes that left the reader breathless and heart pounding as though they were at the forefront and head of battle.
Who can they trust; who is friend and who is foe?
There was some loss…..which is to be expected in war, but to loose a character that we came to be a fan of and to love, is saddening.
Can love prevail the war?
Who is destined to die next?
These are only a few questions that are rambling around my little head, patiently waiting for the third instalment in Thompsons Timely Death Trilogy.
