ARC Review – Coming Home (The Morgan Brothers #1) By Savanna Grey

Victoria Winslow has been at odds with Drue Morgan since she was 5-years-old. Oil and water mixed better than they did. She had been in love with Drue in some form or fashion since she had been in pigtails. That was until the fateful night six years ago when he rejected her affections.

Mortified she buried her feelings and moved on with her life, or so she thought.

Coming home to settle her grandparent’s estate, she is getting under more than his skin.
She is his little brother’s best friend and off limits. He’d always expected the two of them to end up together. How would he be able to avoid her for the next month?

Tempers and flesh collide. Will the grown up Tori and Drue give in to their feelings and find out where it leads or will old fears build walls that prevent them from finding true love?

My Review:

I want to thank the author for providing me with an ARC for not only “Coming Home” but also for “Playing for Keeps” which I’ll also be review for the blog tour.

This book is a light hearted romance, of a young adult who has had a rough up bringing by loosing her parents at a young age to have the only family she had left to leave her also.

Tori (Aka Victoria) returns back to her home roots to sort out her financial and private life due to some unforeseen circumstances. Kevin is her rock in this, her best-friend and the brother she never had.

Drue…..Well he’s another story. Drue is Kevin’s older brother and seems to lock horns with Tori everytime he’s around her. Could this be sexual tension you say?……that is the question? You’ll have to read this book to find out 😉

To say this is Savanna’s debut novel, you couldn’t tell. She has done a wonderful job. The characters are likeable, they have history together, were straight into the action, non of this “lets get to know one another type thing”.

I would like to see maybe a short novella of Tori’s childhood growing up, just to see how her, Kevin and Drue’s characters developed into the young adults they are in this book 🙂

My Review:

OMG! Good Ol’ country book 🙂 Definitely worth the read.

A HUGE thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC copy to read and review for this tour, much lovage ❤

What the actual fuck? Did that just happen? The lying, cheating, biggest piece of scum on the earth!

Sorry about my little rant there, but I seriously DID NOT see that coming, and the cheek of the little B*****d :@

Charley is a college student who thought she bagged a good un’ Dylan, yeah he was a player. and a bit of an ass but he was kind to Charley and was willing to wait for her until she was ready to giv’ up her “V card”….. Nah ah!

Sorry the story doesn’t happen like that things turn sour and Charley has some BIG decisions to make.

Does she stay in her Hometown?

Does she leave and start afresh, leaving her loved ones behind…..

Leaving the Oh so gorgeous I could kidnap him, Cash Money *sigh* I want Cash, please can you wrap him up and have him delivered to the UK for Christmas for me pleasssssseeeee :D?

Taking the big jump Charley starts to get her life back on track, she has made some awesome new friends, Georgia and Tori crack me up 🙂

She’s met the most handsome and gently guy whilst at college, Jackelope Joe 😉

This is guy is AH-MAZING! He’s so protective of Charley and I LOVE the southern/Yankee banter between these two.

I LOVE the fact the Joe and Cash are ok with being non-permanent fixtures in Charlie’s life yet, as she’s trying to figure herself and her feelings out.

I LOVE how Casey has made these characters feel real, like their part of the real world and she’s just picked them up and wrote them in a book. Charlie’s your genuine home-grown country girl, she loves hunting, working on her family’s farm, and she’s not afraid to get dirty, NOW that’s what I’m talking about.

Things again start to turn sour for Charley, but that’s not stopping getting on with her life and her studies, she has the most important people in her life looking out for her

1) Cash

2) Joe

3) Piper

4) Georgia

I was furious with the ending! I don’t want to spoil it, but you will feel the same if/when you read this book! Seriously total douche bag moment coming your way!

I can’t wait to read more, and find out what Charley is going to do. Finding Charley is due to be released in the Spring of 2014, don’t think I can wait that long…..Can’t you sort something out Casey?
